The view is amazing, isn't it? Where the machine is in the first picture is where the house is going to go. We have a lot of bedrock on the property so the hammer is still here and we still have a lot to go. But things are taking shape quite nicely. As you can see from the raw land pictures, the original driveway had a very sharp hairpin turn which wasn't very conducive for trucks coming and going. So Tony Majewski, our excavator, had the idea of putting the driveway around the back of the pond. His reaction to us when we visited one day was "well, it was raining rocks and you had a thunderstorm". What he meant by that statement was that there is a tremendous amount of rocks around the property, but the good news is that he did not have to hammer to get the driveway in place. In the third picture, you can see water running over the rock, that is a natural spring that perks from the top of the mountain which feeds our pond. Tony is going to cut that rock back a little to make a nice waterfall! Far off in the distance is Greenwood Lake!
