Got heat?

The hoses you see throughout the foundation is Radiant Heat. We opted for Radiant Heat in the basement because, as we all know, the basement can get quite cold in the winter months.  Since our washer/dryer, exercise room, in-law apartment, and potential play room will be there, we thought it would be a good idea to heat the floor. Plus Radiant Heat is an extremely efficient source of heat.  The padding you see beneath the hoses prevents the heat from escaping downward into the ground.  Sort of how insulation works in the rest of the home.   Monday, April 25, the mason will be here to pour the foundation floor.
