You may
be wondering where we got the 357 from in our name. Here's the
story.......
Back in the 1960's, my father raced modified stock cars at the Orange
County Fair Speedway (www.ocfsmotorsports.com)
in Orange County, New York. Take a look
here
for some news articles and pictures
The number 357 was his race car number. Seven because my oldest sister
Beth was that age, 5 was my brother Ray's age and my other sister Laurie
was 3. I wasn't born yet.
I am the youngest of 4 children and I certainly was Daddy's little girl.
However, in January 1979, my father was in a car accident and passed
away.
The number 357 is and always will be a very special number to me.
Strange things have happened when I'm feeling down - the number
mysteriously appears in places I wouldn't expect. I think of it as my
dad reaching out to me to tell me everything will be OK. John used to
say it was coincidence, but I believe otherwise. But he's said himself
that it sometimes is too much of a coincidence.
Anyway, that's the story behind 357. If you would like to know more or
specific stories about it, please feel free to
email me and I'll be happy to
share!
